Why we built MCMM for Thai motorcycle clubs
April 1, 2026 · MCMM Team
Walk into any Thai restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon and you’ll see a tablet on the counter running a slick POS, a kitchen display, an inventory system, and a loyalty program — all integrated, all in Thai, all working. Walk into a small retail shop and it’s the same story. Software for small businesses in Thailand has gotten genuinely good.
Now sit in on a motorcycle club’s monthly meeting.
The treasurer has a laptop open with a spreadsheet that has not been clean since 2022. The dues column is colour-coded with a system only the treasurer understands. The “events” tab is a list of past Runs with names half-typed. The phone is buzzing in the LINE group as someone forwards yet another payment slip — the third one this hour. Somebody asks who is coming on Sunday’s ride. Twenty hands go up in the chat, three drop out, two ask if their guest counts, and nobody actually has a final headcount until Saturday night.
This is not because Thai clubs are disorganised. They are run by some of the most capable people we know — riders who manage real businesses on weekdays. It is because the software they had access to was built for a different shape of work. A POS does not know what a Charter is. A spreadsheet does not know that a Run has RSVPs and pickups and a route. A LINE chat does not reconcile dues.
The late-Sunday-night problem
The clearest signal that something was missing came from one specific moment in the week. Late Sunday night, after a club ride. Thirty members had paid their share for fuel, a meal, a hotel block. Thirty payment slips had been dropped into a LINE group across eight hours. The treasurer was at home, reading screenshots, copying amounts into a spreadsheet, matching names to bank references, and making a list of who still owed something.
That moment is where MCMM started. Not as a vision deck — as a feeling that this work should be done by software, not by the most generous person in the club losing two hours of their Sunday.
What MCMM is
MCMM is the platform we wished existed when we were that treasurer. Eight modules — Membership, the Run, Shop, Vote, automatic bank-slip verification, LINE-native messaging, Split Bill, and bilingual EN / TH — each solving one part of running a Thai motorcycle club. Members get a real app on their phone. Admins get the same care on desktop. Nothing fancy. No spreadsheets.
We built it as Thai-first because that is the work. Every screen, every email, every receipt is in Thai or English; members pick once and forget. We built it as a PWA because asking sixty riders to install something from an app store is a tax we did not want to add. We built audit logs into the admin side because clubs hand off treasurers, and the next treasurer should not have to ask “what did the last one mean by this colour?”.
Who we are
We are a small team of riders and builders based in Thailand. We have sat through the roll calls, watched the slips scroll past, and reconciled the dues by hand. We are not building MCMM for a market we read about in a deck — we are building it for the club we wanted ours to be.
If your club is still running on a spreadsheet and LINE, talk to us. We will help you charter your club on MCMM and move you off the late-Sunday-night problem for good.
